The Paso Doble moves around the floor and is characterized by sharp and elegant movements. You will learn the basic flamenco steps, technique, understand the fundamentals of Flamenco, correct position, coordination of hands, arms and feet, workfoot, rhythms and body control, body expression and clapping. Suitable for all, whether you have danced before or are a complete novice.
You will learn different types of pieces within flamenco "Tanguillos", "Fandangos", "Alegrias", "Bulerias", "Soleá". Its timings, movements and expression of the whole body, turns and rhythms, we will work together in a choreography, lose inhibitions and gain confidence. We will work on performance and technicality, workfoot, we will enjoy together introducing you to the world of flamenco.
Sevillanas are a type of folk music and dance of Seville and its region. They were derived from the Seguidilla, an old Castilian folk music and dance genre. In the nineteenth century, they were influenced by Flamenco. Sevillanas are danced by couples of all ages and sexes during celebrations (fiestas or ferias), often by whole families and towns. Sevillana choreography is very stable and knowing it is very useful, since it is a festival dance. This is why those intending to dance flamenco usually start by learning sevillanas; they are easier to master and there are more occasions for practice and training. In these classes are including body expression, body technique and clapping.
Flamenco Spanish fan language and technique
One of the many fun things we get to do as flamenco dancers is work with various accessories and the fan or “abanico” is one of them. Learn about using a fan, fan work and fan language for Flamenco dancing. We'll dance with the fan! This will be an opportunity to study the rhythm and to integrate “abanico” technique with full body movement. We will work on performance and technicality, Its timings, movements and expression
The flamenco dancers use small percussion handheld instruments called "castanets. One of the many fun things we get to do flamenco dancers is work with various accessories and the castanets or "castanets" is one of them. We will work the technique of the castanets, practice and dexterity in the fingers, we will include the movements of the arms, expression of the body, work of feet and we will work on performance.
